History

The Waldorf School Of Tampa Bay is seeking full accreditation in the Association of the Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA). This organization was founded to support and develop schools whose teachers are committed to working with Rudolf Steiner's philosophy to educate the whole child--body, soul and spirit--in developmentally appropriate ways so that they might live their lives with self-discipline and moral responsibility, or in the words of Rudolf Steiner, so that our children might become 'ethical individualists." Waldorf Education celebrated it's 100th birthday in 2019 and has educated generations of children who have grown into exceptional adults. Waldorf Works.

"Wokedorf"

Waldorf no longer has the same mission. As a result of the economic nature of schooling in America, Waldorf schools evolved into an expensive "boutique" option that attracted mainly liberal families. These families have impacted the culture at Waldorf Schools and right at the 100th anniversary of the Waldorf movement, AWSNA adopted a "Statement of Equity and Racial Justice" denouncing their own founder, Rudolf Steiner.

Waldorf Schools across the country have changed their names to remove "Steiner" and have wiped references to him and his quotes from their marketing materials. At the same time, they are strongly promoting a radical change in Waldorf pedagogy by inviting in what is commonly known as Critical Race Theory (CRT) and its' nicer sounding alias: "Diversity, Equity and Inclusion." (DEI). In short, AWSNA has pivoted from its mission to develop ethical individuals and instead has committed to developing activists.

steiner was not a racist

Steiner wrote that it was essential for humanity to stop “making distinctions in human beings according to their outward characteristics of rank, gender, race, and so forth”. Steiner was repeatedly clear that the essential, eternal nature of humanity has nothing to do with our physical bodies. The handful of Steiner quotes that are trotted out by those who want to make a racist of everyone are associated with commentary Steiner offered about aspects of individual circumstances and living conditions. It is either ignorance or simple intellectual dishonesty to call Steiner a racist. That AWSNA, one of the institutions that has voluntarily agreed to uphold his work, is so grossly misinterpreting his position is inexcusable.

Please surrender your legal trademark of the words: WALDORF, RUDOLF STEINER, and STEINER.

You are no longer an honest steward of the work of the mighty philosopher, Rudolf Steiner. Those of us who wish to carry on the work of this great man in education would like to use his name.

awsna's presence at the waldorf school of tampa bay

At the Waldorf School of Tampa Bay, we have seen the regular presence of an AWSNA certified consultant on campus. Some of the children have called her "The Spy", as she lurks in the classroom, whispers to the teachers and whose identify is not disclosed and presence is not acknowledged to the children.

A school staff member shared that there are regular, private AWSNA meetings with the school administrators. Given the trend we are seeing in schools across the country with the promotion of gender confusion and racial shaming, a reasonable parent is led to question:

Is my child's classroom being trolled to "identify" children for indoctrination into transgender ideology or targeted for not feeling guilty about their colonizer heritage? Are my children being confused and shamed into angry, pessimistic activism?

Most telling of all, is this Recommitment Letter, that became a requirement for continued enrollment at the school for some targeted families who dared to question the hiring of a Violence-Promoting Teacher for the first grade class. This letter is designed to be an admission of guilt of harassment by the signer and a pledge to uphold the values of CRT and DEI in the school. The false accusations and loyalty pledging was rejected by those presented with this "option" and the families chose expulsion instead of compromising their honesty and integrity by signing it.
